NookAI is an AI assistant that allows users to interact with AI models directly from the webpage they are viewing.
This Privacy Policy explains what information NookAI processes and how that information is used.
NookAI may process the following information:
NookAI does not automatically collect the content of webpages.
When the user explicitly enables the "Send page data" option, NookAI extracts visible text from the current webpage and sends it to the NookAI backend so that the selected AI model can process the request.
Page content is not automatically added to the user's conversation history. The conversation history only records that page data was attached to the request.
When the user explicitly requests screenshot analysis, the selected screenshot is sent to the NookAI backend and processed by the selected AI model.
Information is used solely to provide NookAI's functionality, including authentication, processing AI requests, maintaining conversations, managing credits and providing usage information.
User prompts and other content explicitly submitted for AI processing may be sent to third-party AI model providers through the NookAI backend in order to generate the requested response.
NookAI does not sell user data.
Credit purchases are processed through our payment provider. NookAI does not store users' full payment card details.
Account and conversation information may be retained for as long as necessary to provide the service and maintain the user's account and usage history.
Webpage content submitted through the page-context feature is used to process the requested AI interaction and is not intentionally stored as webpage content in the conversation history.
The user decides when webpage content or screenshots are submitted to NookAI. Page content is not collected automatically by the extension.
